Mission

The CCCAP is a professional organization of educators dedicated to promoting the value of the Architecture Programs in community colleges and to providing an alternative pathway to the architectural profession.


The CCCAP empowers students to pursue their career and academic goals in the field of architecture and the built environment today and in the future.

Vision

The CCCAP is committed:


• To establish transfer/articulation agreements between Architecture Programs in community colleges and schools of architecture,

• To increase the racial, gender, cultural, and socio-economic diversity within the architectural profession,

• To lead dialogue, share best practices, and collaborate as a network among Architecture Programs in community colleges and architectural academic and accreditation institutions.

Start of compilation list of community college architecture programs [i.e. CCAP] by Professor Randy Steiner AIA  as part of her sabbatical year at Montgomery College Architecture Program in Rockville, Maryland

Presentation by CCCAP at NCARB BOD Meeting

Second time, CCCAP was invited to meet with the BOD to discuss upcoming NCARB “Work Force Readiness” Plan with its 52 competencies and a new Pathway to Licensure. Steiner attended with Charlie Setterfield [Sinclair Community College] and new CCCAP President, Joe Lucido [Palomar.
